I'm working on Ripleys recall as she is Itching to be off lead and run. But i dont Really want to let her off any more Until i know she realises its on our terms and she listens to us. I've ordered her a 50ft lead and a whistle. Has anyone whistle trained there Staff??

yea basically what i did was start off in the house and blow the whistle twice and treat imeadiatley and did that randomly for a while then i would do it when the dogs where in another room and treat them then took it outside ect, it was easy really. Ty will also lie down if i do a long whistle, i did that by in the house again blowing a long whistle then saying lie down then treating, and gradually stopped using the voice command. That one is usefull if i dont spot a dog quick enough to put him back on the lead, he will just lie down x

Just wanted to say I'm very proud of Rips she has picked the whistle training up really well. Works every time in the house. Just practising lots outside on walks to get her recall better with distractions around. Big Grin
