getting a very fussy eater ! Empty getting a very fussy eater !

the alf is now just over 16 months, hes always eaten almost anything we put in front of him, he mostly gets liver, kidney, biscuits(when hes in the mood) ,the local meat wholesales give me alot of end cuts and trimmings mostly beef when i go to get my weekly meat, he also used to love rice and pasta mixed with a cup of minced meat, but the last couple of weeks hes has been turning his nose up at everything i put in front of him, but will then come and have a mooch at what we are having as if he is starving, hes healthy and happy enough runs around like a fool and goes out and plays with the other dogs where i walk him, just wondering if it is because he is growing up or that he thinks theres something better on offer ?? cheers confused

I think he's realised that your food tastes better than his!

Have you thought about trying raw? Or do you give him the meat raw anyway?

I wouldn't give too much offal, though, it could give him the runs.

when my Jethro was alot younger at one stage I had him at the vets because he hardly ate anything I put in front of him. The vet said a dog will never starve itself when it has food available... Now... he is making up for lost time.. he is a pig and eats anything and everything.. including our puppy's food if he gets the chance.. gone in seconds!!
