My sister had to have her Staffie Sasha put to sleep yesterday, she'd had her since she was 6 weeks old and lived to a grand old age of 13.
Sasha couldn't even go outside anymore and was laid on her belly in her box, it was giving her sores on her stomach.
Yesterday they took her to the vets for the last time. When she used to go to the vets she used to play up in the car but yesterday she just laid there in the back.
The vet said euthanasia was the best thing as her back legs had gone and her organs were failing.
My sister held Sasha in her arms until she fell to sleep, she was heartbroken.
She was the perfect Staffie, brilliant with children and other dogs.
RIP Sasha Rainbow Bridge is waiting.

She's gutted but getting there. She had a good life and was well looked after.

It's devastating to let a dearly loved dog go, but Sasha's time had come. Your sister did the right thing Nidge, and will in time find comfort in knowing that she gave Sasha a good life, and that she eased her passing when it was inevitable.
