while I'm in a ranting mood

Had a friend over for dinner on Friday and had planned to get straight into bed and get up and work as much as possible on Sat. My neighbour decided otherwise - that same neighbour who ALWAYS opens her gate to drive in and couldn't care less that the two dogs run out. Well, by 8:30pm Friday Betty dog started crying. Had a look over the wall to see somehow she was on one side of a gate and the other dog on another side in the garden - they're never separated. By 12am I called the security company to call neighbour and say dog as not stopped and had now built up to a very distressed yap and howl. Nothing. It went on NONSTOP until 5am. She wasn't answering her phone. None of the neighbour's slept - even Roxy and Vinny wondered around in a daze the next day. I got hold of her sometime later on Sat and her response: "oh, sorry, well, I'm home now." Irresponsible idiots. They're moving next month but if it happens again (this isn't the first time they've been away and left dog out to cry) I will call the anti-cruelty org.
