Boris, 4 month update

Hi all, I thought you might like an update on Boris our  3 year old rescue Staffie x Border Terrier and how he's faring since we got him

We've had Boris for 4 months now and he has really settled in nicely.  Him and Sophie our other rescue dog (Collie x whippet) get on brilliantly and are always playing - especially Tug and, Grab the Stick (when out walking Sophie will find a stick, Boris will leap at her and chase her then they go for yards both holding the stick running along, it's so funny).  Having only had Sophie for 3 months at the time we were worried, but it has been fantastic for both of them.

Sophie was hit by a car and virtually died 10 weeks ago. Boris was devasted and pined for her, fortunatley thanks to our amazing vets, Sophie pulled through and has made an amazing recovery. They call her "The Miracle Dog"  She had both lungs punctured and her pelvis double fractured, along with some serious cuts. To look at her now you wouldn't know though!

We took them to some woods last weekend and let then loose (as we tend to do anyway). IT was amazing to see how the terrier instinct came out of him. He just shot off into the woods, running about, sniffing. It was literally like he was "Oh my God, I can't believe I'm doing this". He literally "came alive".

Mind you he is a horror. I made the bottom half of a stable door to prevent him going into the hallway - he just jumped 1 meter straight over it. He managed to get a packet of chocolate biscuits - straight down the vets, find a Snickers bar in my grub bag - straight down the vets, get his bum stung by a wasp - straight down the vets and, get Giardia which is an Intestinal Parasite -straight down the vets. (warning that causes the WORST farts you have EVER encountered in your life!!!!!!), so the vets love him!

He is adorable though, and just like a little Teddy bear.

So sorry to hear about all the troubles your dogs have had, but thank goodness your vets have taken such great care of them, and they both look wonderful now!

Sounds like they've been keeping you busy! So pleased Sophie is OK now, they are both gorgeous
