Baby on the way

I wonder if any of you could give me done advice regarding my staffy. He is called Charlie and it's just over 1 year old. I'm currently 6 months pregnant with our first child. Charlie is and has been attending dog training classes. He is very affectionate and loves cuddles. He sleeps in our room and even in our bed.
With a new baby on the way I'm wondering whether it is still appropriate for him to do this. I understand that he will get rather jealous at first when the baby arrives and I don't want to upset him and him turn on the baby.
Can anyone help please.
