was really nice to see the staffy getting some good press tonight, dog expert said the public perception is way off and the staffy is one of the uk's best family breeds, he even said you are more likely to be bitten from a labrador, he couldent praise the breed high enough ... very refreshing to hear something positive on main stream tv

I couldnt agree more!! Also, was told at training there was an article in the mail regarding a staffy that has recently passed his training as a police sniffer dog. I love these stories and the positive press. Its about time!

Yes it was lovely to see. Also when they were assessing different breeds reactions to an upset human, how typical of the staffy to think that jumping on her head would cheer her up!!! 

Yes is was great  Staffys are the most caring dog...fact!  

What a great bit of press. Moll does the exact same thing as Dotty hehe. Really made me smile. Proud to own my little staffy as always

That's great news. In Poland Staffy is a new breed so there is no bad press. Sometimes they're take for a Amstaff and peopld are not educated and fear the dog.

The guy they were talking to is Bruce Fogle, father of Ben Fogle who you may have heard of through many television shows. Bruce is a vet and also helped to set up the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. He was quite right about the Staffy the best family dog and did well to promote the breed in a very positive manner.

 Aww, I missed all that, but so pleased to read the posts of you all that have watched it, that is such great news and finally I say too.

I loved last night's programme, just to see the beautiful Dotty doing her breed proud was amazing. I have to add though, Dotty is absolutely gorgeous!

It was very refreshing indeed to hear! 

I missed it too but do good to hear that it was all positive. I can honestly say that I have NEVER met a nasty Stafford. I have met staffs that are DA, but you find the same in any breed.

Just watched on BBC 2 what a refreshing change to have good press just wish the whole world could have watched it to see gorgeous Dotty being so loving and what good things Mr Fogle said. Just tried doing the yawn thing and upset thing with Oz he mimicked my yawn and odd the staffing thing of jumping on my head when he thought I was upset. Bless him that's with a runny nose n sneezing today too

Dotty was a true ambassador for the breed  

She certainly was truly beautiful inside & out
