Surprised

that's terrible, we are looking into kennels/dog sitter for billy. caryll gave me this link, i don't know how far away they are from you, i never would have thought that kennels would not take staffys, it;s unbeleiveable,
wow enjoy your holiday

".I'm surprised they never got back to you - did you write or email? This is their website http://www.bullyview.com/kennel.html and this is their email address Bullyview@aol.com. I think their phone no. is 01268 764300.

Give them a ring, they're usually very helpful."

Bullyview are a long way from Yorkshire! They're in Essex!

Try the local Staffordshire Bull Terrier Breed Club & see if they have any sugestions.

There are kennel out there which are good with staffs, but you really have to search. I would always recommend asking the local Staffordshire Bull Terrier Society for their advice.

would you prefer to put a dog in the kennels or leave it with a dog sitter. I am in two minds.

It would really depend on how well I knew the sitter, and how good they were with bull breeds, especially pig headed ones like Dempsey! Big Grin

To be honest, I'd be happier with a recommended boarding kennel, but that's because Dempsey isn't an easy dog.

We has exactly the same thing last year when we got married. I looked round the kennels etc and it was lovley and the owners seemed great as well, i booked Ty in for the 9 days and when she asked me what breed he was she told me and i quote "we dont take them" ans hung up. Luckly i have found another fairly local kennel who owns 6 staffs herself so loves and most importantly understands them so they are both booked in there at the end of may for a week. I makes u sick though..... x
