who had truffles on here?

are they nice or not?

Probably not worth the money. I assume they just taste like mushrooms lol

If you mean chocolates then yes

We sometimes get a small box at Christmas, but I'm not a fan. They're quite soft and have a relatively strong taste.

I did actually have a truffle and mushroom pie once at a posh restaurant, it was nice

I've never been able to afford anything with truffles in it, but I understand that very small shavings and put on certain dishes. My posh sister has tasted them and didn't like - she said they had a VERY strong mushroom taste.

i love mushroom so i may like them but it's very unlikely i will never go anywhere posh enough to have them on the menu

 Did someone shout me? No I have not had truffles but am on the case looking where the piggies have mooted  

I've never tasted them, but I've never really wanted to. I'm sure I'd be disappointed and then I'd moan about the colossal waste of money! 

I thought that about caviar, Caryll, but I tried it and fell in love with the stuff and would have it every day if I could. I'm betting i'd feel the same about truffles.

I've not tasted them either although I do love mushrooms I don't think I could justify the cost

They are underwhelming. Had a couple of times. They aren't bad tasting or anything, but honestly in most dishes they are just a very small portion of what is there. It does work with the taste and with some things it tastes nice, but I'm sure that most of the attraction is the exclusivity of having truffles.
