pup went weird with his new bowls

So i got my pup 2 bowls as you do when i first got him,just plastic ones really,anyway i decided to get him new bowls and bought 2 stainless steel ones,when i put it down with his food in it he went all weird and freaked out and ran away and when i showed him it again he just didnt like it,can this happen the odd time with dogs or just him? lol, anyway im just using his old bowls again.

Is there anything different i can do

Tommy backs off when he hears the tinny sound of his stainless steel bowls and won't come back to them until they are safe back on the ground ............. scarey bowls Rolling Eyes

Chiquito was terrified of his stainless steel water bowl, I had to replace it for fear of dehydration - they really are that scarey Straight Face

(There are lots of dogs who are afraid of stainless steel bowls ... really!)

That's because they have seen these supposed water bowls metamorphosise into staffy eating monsters whenever the hoomans backs are turned , we don't see the real picture

Some dogs are scared of them, it can be their reflection in it or the noise biggrin

We have used stainless steel bowls for Tip's water and food from first day we got her. She has a thing for one of our potplants though to the extend that I rehomed the plant.
