That's great you would like to adopt, why not have a look at this list of rescue centres list and see if there is one near you? You can enquire about the process there.

It is wonderful to hear that you are considering adopting a staff ... there are many things that you need to consider before going ahead, and i am sure our members will be happy to answer any questions you have.
Perhaps if you come over and introduce yourself, let us know where you are from etc so that we are able to give you more specific advice that would be a good place to start
