Inspection

Morning  

Hugo and I have just been on our morning walk before it gets hot, we usually start off the same way then change route half way through. About 4months ago a cat was under a car, Hugo now persists on checking every car along a certain row of houses..

Does any one else have a dog who does the similar inspection ? X

No Blue doesn't do that but he does have a routine which he started. When I get into bed every night he jumps up, I have to give him a cuddle and a kiss on the head then he jumps back down and gets in his bed and goes to sleep. Every night without fail he does it. If I don't cuddle him he just stays there and waits  

Before we get in the car Rocky has to check the car parking area outside our house to make sure everyones car is OK. Wont get in the car until this is done  

Yes, lol, We get the cats hiding in my lavender bushes in the front garden.... Rolo has to inspect that they are free from cats on his way out... and his way back in... my lavender bushes are always a dishevelled mess

Darcy always runs to either end of our row to check all houses are ok before she'll go anywhere

Lexi has an inspection route when she gets into the garden. Check the back door, check the side gate, run around the car (just in case the door might be open lol) and then check the door to the cat house.

When it is bed time, Chiquito every night without fail hops in bed and lays down on my pillow until I come to bed. As soon as I get in he waits for a cuddle then proceeds to 'dig' a comfy spot next to my feet to go to sleep in

Everynight before I put Rocky to sleep, I give him a 3-4 pieces of kibble and give him a kiss on his head and say goodnight, if I don't do this he has a little whimper! lol

Tessa checks under cars and in driveways and front gardens for cats but she really hates them. The funniest sight though is when she sees one of the herons that live near the canal at the back of our house. She kind of stalks it when she sees it standing on the towpath and when she gets close just flies at it. The heron simply flies away but if tessa wasnt on the lead she would try to follow it and end up in the canal.

Yes, to everything. Where I used to work we had to walk past a house that had a cat and she spotted it through a fence once.....now I left that place nearly 4 years ago and haven't walked past the house in years we had to the other day and yes you've guessed it.........

Yep, Shéara checks down the same alley way for a big chubby ginger cat every single day!

Tommy and Tilly check top of our street for cats on the way out and on the way back , 2 or 3 houses down the road as well.

Also every time they are let out they go pelting down to the bottom of the garden to check for cats behind the shed and then have a look under on two sides , then mission done

I was told staffies were thick ..
I'd completely forgotten about the cat and thought he was being a pest,then it clicked ..
He's not so daft after all  

Yeah Lou checks under our car & van for the ginger cat as it is sometimes under there...and she has to pull me to the end of the street to where a dog lives. sometimes its there sometimes it isnt.

Skibadee does the exact same thing, she checks under each car methodically. Quite funny but annoying too!

Wingo knows to check at the first, fifth and seventh gate of a little row of houses on the way to the park.

Gates one and seven are for cats. Gate five is for her border terrier mate.
