Went to a learn to speak dog course on Saturday a bitesize version of a course run by the local college, wasn't sure what I would get from it even by the end of the course but it has been quite enlightening watching Ledger since to see not only how he responds to other dogs and people but also what I was doing that was making him uncomfortable.

Main thing has been leaning over him you just don't realise how often you do this putting the collar on letting him off lead etc and also the one other owner he jumped up at was a chap who bent right over him to stoke him slowly starting to pay attention to what his ears/eyes and tail are doing and what is 'normal' certainly keeping me occupied on walks and definitely recommend it to people if any of your local colleges run a similar course

I think any course like this is a great thing. You can never know too much and the more educated we all are the better we can understand our and other peoples dogs

Sounds great! SOOOOOOOOOOOO many people don't understand the leaning over a dog thing, it really grates me. I see people great a dog and they lean right over and pat its head and back and im like ahhh you are just asking for a fight lol
