We had Roxy Micro chipped about 3 weeks ago, should we receive some for of documentation in the post? We have a sticker with the micro chip number in her vets book. If we should how long should it take?

I seem to remember getting something with a sticker on for chip number and an envelope from the vet and that was it . We have Anibase chips , after that using the info from the Vets I registered the chips on line to put my updated details in and for a small charge (can't remember how much) you can update the database as many times as you need for changes of address etc
Best just clarify with your vet what is supposed to happen then you know for your own peace of mind

When we got Blaze micro chip done we had the card but also paper work and envelope to send away with our info to register the chip, he got his chip done in may and we not long got paper work back so think it took 3/4 weeks. Did u send the paper work away yourself or the vets ? Maybe chase it up and make sure it was sent if you did not do it yourself

We used Petlog which is the one recommended by our vets & the Kennel Club, and I had paperwork through within about 10 days. That gave me the opportunity to upgrade for a small one-off payment so that I can update any change of details online at no further cost.

Have a word with your vet & see which company they use.

I went to the vets today as Roxy is off colour, whe is now on antibiotics and panacur.

I spoke with the vet while I was there and they said I should have had the paperwork through by now, they checked the petlog system and she is registered. I need to phone petlog during the week to request the paperwork again.

Rocky is also with Anibase, same as Daves dogs for his chip registration. You can pay £6.00 to change/up date your details on line with them.

He is also registered with Pet 24 which is a tag with a telephone number for members of the public, who may find Rocky if he is lost, they can then call the telephone number on the tag and have someone contact us. This is provided through Wood Green Animal Charity where Rocky came from.
