To people who don't want to read the long version:

He forgot to pay and display a couple of minutes after he parked, so he quickly ran back to get one. When he got to his truck, he'd already been given a ticket, which he can't afford. So he's auctioning off the ticket in the hope that somebody has enough money in their pocket to help him out. Not a great story, but the next part is interesting:

When the bidding got higher than the cost of the ticket, he put up a note saying that the excess money will go to a family whose little girl has a rare disease.

But the highest bidder has bid 150,000 so... Doubt it's going to happen. There's also the doubt as to whether or not any of it is actually true.

A: That's really kind of you but literally thousands of people are hitting on this to see what happens. Plus any money above the Ebay costs and the ticket at 64.50 will be donated to a family going through a nightmare time...
