No hot water!

A little while ago I said to my oh "The immersion heater switch is playing up, we need to get a new one. I'll go to B & Q and get one".

"Oh, no" he says "I don't like B & Q - order one online".

"No" says I "It'll be quicker if I go to B & Q"

"Good grief," says he "How long will it take to order one?"

So, against my better judgement I ordered one last week. It hasn't come. And guess what has stopped working completely now?:Cry:

I'm not going to able to shower tomorrow morning now & I hate that!

Dearest OH of Caryll, please please listen to your good lady wife, you know it makes sense.

Meh. He was already in bed last night when I found out there was no hot water (he's on early shifts so he goes to bed at 7pm) and he left at 5am this morning.

I'm hoping that one of 3 packages waiting for me at the local post office is the timer switch. If not, he better keep his head down or drive me to bloody B & Q to buy another one!

How's the hot water situation now then? Are we stinky or clean

Just picture a full bus of people outside B&Q and your OH apologising to all the passengers. "Sorry everyone. I promise she won't be long, then I'll just take her back home and then we will all be back on route"

The timer arrived, but what they didn't say in the advertising blurb was that it's bloody chinese, there are 5 terminals, they only label 3 of them & I have 6 wires & I haven't got a clue what to do with the other 3! No wiring intrusctions. I'm sending it back tomorrow & going to B & Q in the morning to get a proper one!

Close, but he's finishing at 12.30 pm tomorrow so he'll pick me up in the car & bring me home!

Good luck Caryll - B&Q are good, and if you wander around long enough you'll find a helpful member of staff who can advise you on how to fit the new gizmo.

We have a black, a blue, a red, two green/yellows & a brown! I know what they all are - no problem with that - but not where they go in the actual timer!

Still, doesn't matter now cause I bought a new one from B & Q & it's all installed (by mine own fair hand) and working!
