Thanks Sazzle He does, although he wasn't sure at first because it's a bit deeper than the stream I usually let him play in. He soon got over that though, as you can see

Thanks Mat, he definitely seemed to enjoy his walk that's for sure I went into P@H on the way and got a pack of the tiny squeaky tennis balls you mentioned - came in really handy for getting him out of the water, so thanks for the tip

Thanks Tara He's not a great swimmer, very splashy as you can see but he loves it, so that's fine by me!

Thanks Kathy - with him being mostly black he does get hot quickly so I think the river will become one of our more regular walks when it's sunny

Yeah, they're great as a distraction, like you said - especially when the poor boy was surrounded by five chihuahuas at one point, just gave it a squeak and kept walking, he even managed not to eat any of the yappy little things

5 chihuahuas...I wouldn't fancy living in that house...
