....still scare the heck out of Charlie!!!! Walking back home yesterday I thought he was going to pull his head straight out of his collar he pulled that hard away from me and then as soon as it went passed I was sure he was going to bring us home by the power of flight!!!! ............."it" was a horse and cart!!!!!

Then this morning on the way to the park we came upon a big council lawn mower just doing it's job!! Managed to catch the lead on my little finger as he pulled back home!! Silly goose!!! lol

Logan is the same with buses/lorries and those little noisy 2 stroke scooters.

I try my best to notice before him if they are coming and when they are I stop walking and get his attention on me whatever way possible and then he seems to not really notice them. Smile

Those scooters really are an annoyance! Think Charlie will appreciate all that grass though...he is fond of a nibble or two!! As if my garden isn't bad enough already he's taken to digging for grass roots!!! We keep finding little pot holes!! lol

Ebony Id pretty good with loud noises but she hated fireworks! I took her out when the fireworks were going off and when it happened I'd give her a treat and make a big fuss of her - she's fine with them now Big Grin

Zeus is the same, he used to jump when a scooter/bike went past, he's ok with them now but if another unexpected sound happens, he jumps and runs a mile!

I think it's normal. Even with adults, loud, unexpected noises can make us jump, so why not dogs? Loki has a bit of a jump when he hears the hissing noises buses make, but only lasts a split-second, so I don't consider it a fear, just that a loud, sudden noise will make you jump, just instinct, I think. I just ignore it, but sometimes his jump makes me jump Laughing
