Mothers day tomorrow..

Anyone doing something special??

I have a huge balloon, some bloody expensive chocolates and a nice bottle of vino to enjoy with me cooking dinner

Oh and a card which Moo has paw printed (she is her nanny and it was great fun using Bovril as I couldn't think of anything else )

Mum is having a relaxing day tomorrow WHETHER SHE LIKES IT OR NOT.

She will not be dog walking.
She will not be cleaning.
She will not be cooking.
She will not be shopping.
She will not be making her own tea.

And that's final!

i'm on sunday roast duties, and my two sibs and me are chipping in to send her to a spa day in a couple of weeks.

My Mam just wanted money for some fancy hand bag.

My son has written me a poem and said he is making me a brew and toast in the morning . My eldest is working all day but my middle girl is making tea:)

well i got a few gifts on friday:

some funny face homemade buns
a homemade daffodil card
a mini daff that he has grown at school courtesy of marie curie charity

plus have somethings tomorrow
we have to do the rounds to chris's mums then to my step mums

hopefully i shall be doing very little!!!

You're right Janey, I love my Mum. I still have her thank God, although she is now 87 and frail. I see her every day and look after her the best I can every day. Mother's Day is a special day though and I just do that bit extra - a card, pressies etc.

Well, sadly, I just had a call from my old man to say that my Grandmother passed away earlier tonight. She hadn't been particularly well and she was a decent age but it's still a bit of a shock.

It's my dad's birthday tomorrow too so it's an absolute pisser all round.

Mums been my mum and dad for 12 years now, she is top and I tell her every day, but spoiling her is special tomorrow.

Unfortunately I didn't see her as much as I probably should have as I got older and I'll no doubt regret that over the coming days.

My dad is a bit of a man's man but I could tell he was pretty shook up tonight, naturally so, and with it being Mother's Day and his birthday the morn it's just put a major dampener on things.

I hope your family member makes a full recovery and comes out of it even stronger. All the best mate.

Spent £30 on make-up that I've lost and taking my mum for a roast in this pub place we go to. I'd take her somewhere better, but I can't eat gluten, this is literally the only place we can go to unless I sit there eating leaves . Doesn't matter though, you should see her, she gets a massive mountain of food so I doubt she minds.

And I'm very sorry to hear about your loss, Ushanka

Mines the opposite way round, my dad (he's actually not my biological dad long story) has been our mum and dad into one for many years now x
