Love at first sight!

Today I had a client sprung on me at the last possible moment. My entire Friday Started off more like a Monday and was getting worse as the day wore on. I was dreading going to my second and final client of the day, and upset that I wouldn't get some things of my own accomplished today.

As I walked up to the door to my last client I read a sign " My Dog can't hold his licker" I snickered and I could hear them barking soon as I got out of the car. The second I opened the door I was greeted by a gorgeous Black Staffordshire Bull Terrier/ Black lab Mix. His name is Buttons. He licked me to death and I let him! He made my entire day. I asked my scheduler/ boss if she could schedule me to go to that clients house again. She said " You weren't put off by buttons?!" I said "No! I fell in love with Buttons!" I just thought I would share that here with all my Staffy loving friends Was the perfect end to a hectic Friday.

Me too I didn't want to leave. He kept putting his head on my clipboard when I sat down to do my paperwork. His owner (my client) said that that meant he didn't want me to leave. I almost got bit twice because my client lives with her daughter and son in law. They have a JRT and a little thing JRT/Poodle mix, the JRT kept mounting Buttons the SBT ..Buttons didn't like that so much so he kept bearing teeth/growling at the JRT. My hand was just a little too close there a few times. But I didn't get nipped or bit and the second time Buttons realized my hand was there and spun around to lick my face off LOL. I told him "Down" and he laid flat on the floor and just watched me. My client was shocked as, he normally doesn't even listen to her at all. I told her " They aim to please, give them things to do and they'll do it if it makes you happy." when I took my keys out to head for the door, I was frozen in my seat as Buttons came for my keys and when I went to stand up he made me sit right back down!! It was nice to know he likes me too

Careful what you wish for! lol, I take care of people in their homes that can't do their normal daily living activities without help. A-lot of people can't handle that job.

Yeah, If I can sneak a picture of him the next time I'm there I will and post it lol, if I never have her as a client again, why.. I'll go to visit Buttons! lol
