Only the self locking ones, the legal ones are supposed to slacken when the animal stops struggling, but a wild animal will not stop struggling until it is practically dead.

I thought they already were. We used to go pull em up and free rabbits caught in them. They are very cruel and we used to find that most were caught by legs and as they tugged it cut in deeper. The farmers used to think that cos it was on the fens and middle of nowhere they could get away with anything. Wed prob set free around a dozen a week and pull up loads of snares, they are so cruel. Dont get me wrong im not against vermin control but there is a right and wrong way of going about things. Even my nutball mate could see that.

Wildlife law is a very complex thing, you're not allowed to wilfully harm an animal but you are allowed to kill it using various barbaric methods. Which is a little bit of a contradiction to me. One thing you are not allowed to do is drown it though, or bash it in the head. Or spike it, or strangle it lol. But your allowed to shot the hell out of it, rip it apart with dogs or ferrets (albeit a very fast way to die unless its only one animal), burn it to death, suffocate with smoke/gas.

And things liek grey squirrels, if you catch one you are legally bound to kill or have it killed.

Like i said, wildlife law is very strange.

Greys are classed as vermin and can be killed with the same laws as rats.
I used to shoot rats on a farm but even then the farmer wanted to see my rifle skills as he hated woundings which is something i always respected him for. His passion for all life was fantastic and he wouldnt allow you on his land unless you could do a clean shot. for me it ment i kept and bread fancy rats for 9 years as i marveld at there brains after hunting them. And i have some very very strange stories about em, not to mention a big boy destroying a barrier to be next to his mate while she had his babies. He slept outside her cage all night bless him.

In all seriousness though, I don't believe in lucky rabbit feet. Or the idea that if you're a good person, only good things will happen to you. It just isn't how the world works, sadly. Bad things can still happen to good people - I just think it depends on how you react to those bad things and whether or not you are able to focus on the positive.
