Hi from Beanie and Me

Hello,

My name is Sally and the cute furry one in the pictures is Beanie. She is 17 months old now. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. She was born 'in captivity' as her mum was picked up as a pregnant stray. I have been told by some people that they think she is a staffy crossed with a jack russell or a boxer or a hundred and one other things. I don't know other than her mum was a staffy. She is small, but perfectly formed!

I turned 30 last year and decided it was time for me to get my own dog as I have lived with family and friends dogs but never had my own. I knew I wanted a staffy and I wanted it to be a rescue one as there are so many in shelters. They have such fun characters and as I'm a bit of a nomad I wanted a dog that is happy to travel about with me and be my sidekick. This is thankfully something beanie is really good at.

I've already got some great information from the forum and I only found it a couple of hours ago. There is loads more I can learn I am sure. It's just really nice to be able to talk to other people who have gone through the amazing parts of owning a staffy and the not so great parts, like peoples prejudice towards them.

Hope to hear more of your stories and great tips.

ohh your so good person, if i could have one more staffy it would be a rescue one. She is beautiful and she looks like staffy on the pictures not like cross Wink
