Post by marley'smummy Mon Jan 28 2013, 21:08

Hello, well marley is now 6 and a half months and just wondering if now is the time to take feeds down from 3 times a day to 2??
Also he is seriously going of dry food i mean he will actually miss meals (which we know for staffies is a huge thing!!) i even tried getting some samples of other brands from our local pet store and his still turning up his nose, so on sunday i went and brought him a sunday dinner treat and got a wainrights wet tray and he scouffed it down!! Now apart from the obviouse of keeping there lovely teethy pegs clean what does dry food have that wet food doesnt?? Is it worth putting him on a wet diet ie something like wainwrights or a raw diet??? confused.com Crying or Very sad

Dry food doesn't actually keep their teeth clean, but it's better exercise for their gums than wet. Also, wet food is about 80% water - you can get that cheaper from the tap! Big Grin

There's no harm in giving him dry with a little wet added, though, if you want.

Raw would be great, I have wet/dry mix, but they are fussy buggers! And yes 2 meals are fine at 6mnths. Moo has a tiny breakfast and a bigger dinner, find what suits Xx
