Hi Bruiser my 2 year old male had a really bad stomach from yesterday morning, so bad he actully ended up pooing in the house which i no hes only done out of desperation. He was sick also and wasnt himself- hes usually very very lively and he was in hes bed for all over yesterday morning also.
Anyway today hes much better in himself, but hes stomach is still dodgy- it stools arent water like anymore but they are still very mushy and hes going more than normal. Since yesterday night i have just fed him chicken and rice as advised by a friend- should i continue doing this? also if the bad tummy stays how long til i take him to the vets?like i say he seem well and lively in himself now.
advice would be greatly appriciated Smile

I'd carry on doing what you're doing for another 24 hours or so. If he's no better by monday then maybe a quick trip to his personal physician!

As long as he's drinking & ok in himself, it's probably just one of those things.

Kaolin powder is a very good resource for tummy upsets. If I remember correctly, it lines the innards and helps harden up the stools, as well as just giving that buffer to help out.

Obviously, not an essential, but as it doesn't go out of date, worth having in the cupboard.

Kaogel is a good pet alternative to kaolin powder. A lot of pharmacies don't sell kaolin any more.

You could also try staving him for a meal to help settle the stomach. As long as he is eating and drinking normal he is likely okay
