Snow to come

I heard about this on the radio earlier, wouldn't like to bet against it, will probably happen.

Apparently it's more likely in the East (thanks!), but everywhere will be freeeeeeezing!

Its freezing here. The frost is ridiculous on the cars. Pony is going bananas cause he can't go out or he will a) fall on his * and break a leg or b) die from all the sugars in the grass lol

Lexi is very glad of her coat too!

Yesterday morning & last night was freezing fog round here. This morning it's just grey & cold.

Looks like it will hit Oxfordshire Saturday afternoon.

Freezing fog here this morning, so I just went back to bed instead.

Well it got down to -3 last night while we were at work and it's meant to get colder for the weekend!

I was frozzen walking to work this am (6.45) but am off this weekend so dont mind what it does as if it snows i will prob stay in bed lol (well maybe acouple of walks in the snow)

I want it to snow just so I can build a snowman doing a hand stand and I have wanted to build a snow dog ever since I watched snowman 2

I loved it, but I'm a big kid and it took me back to my childhood

We are expecting it Monday , only problem is since I work from home I don't get stuck and unable to work

21/12/2012 saw to that.

I quite enjoy a bit of snow - reminds me of my childhood in East Anglia. And it's pretty - for a little while. And it kind of marks the end of one year and (when it goes) the beginning of another.

And I'd love to see what Kuchar thinks of it (his first time with snow).

Turning chilly

This week starts with high pressure to the south of the country, allowing southwesterly winds to bring mild, moist air from the Atlantic. By Tuesday a cold front brings brighter but cold conditions with frost by night. The end of the working week looks likely to bring unwelcome rainfall to the southwest at times.

By the weekend the forecast become trickier. Some computer models want to build high pressure to the north of the UK which would lead to northeasterly winds bringing much colder air feeding across the country. This would mean the likelihood of some wintry showers. Alternatively some models suggest that the winds will come from the southwest, bringing Atlantic weather systems and a return to milder conditions.

At the moment the first scenario is perhaps the most likely but the development of these scenarios will be closely monitored throughout this week.

Monday 14 January—Sunday 20 January
Rather cold perhaps?

As we head into the second half of January, the uncertainty in the forecast is greater than normal. At the moment it looks most likely that high pressure to the north of the country will dominate, with easterly winds continuing to feed cold air across the UK.

This set up would probably bring bright but colder than average conditions with overnight frosts. Further wintry showers would also develop, especailly in the north and east. Milder, wetter conditions might affect the south and west at times.

So there edging there bets Remind me why we have weather reporters!!

If I did the weather I would say today it is going to pess it down. Bet I'm right more times than they are .
