Great vid! She plays with the boomer the same way Dempsey does & he also ignores everything else while it's around!

I can't throw it that far, Leaim can though lol. I just walk along and keep an eye out for other dogs and people.

We keep it in a plastic bag when we're walking, and as soon as she sees it, her attention is straight on the bag, we actually let her go for a walk through a field without a lead, her boomer ball is basically the only thing we can use for recall. The field in the second section of the video is about 30 metres wide, she was over the other side and for a bit just calling her name was enough to get her to come back over, but then as soon as we wanted to go she wouldn't come over. So we got her ball out, as soon as she saw it she came running over, it's the only thing that will guarantee her to return to us.

99% of the time it's Amy online, Leaim made the account but I (Amy) spend most of my time on it. Yeah, he won discuss when he was younger, he has a bloody good throwing arm, I can't get it a quarter of the way he does, he's built like a rugby player, tackles like one too!

I can't throw that far, that's for sure, neither can the OH - but then our (Dempsey's) boomer is a 10". That's my excuse & I'm sticking to it!

I just throw it as far as I can (about 5 or 6 yards max!) and Demspey takes it from there.

Wouldn't have thought so, she's quite tall isn't she? Maybe she just doesn't see the point in chasing a big ball around that she can't bust? Laughing

Bandit was a bug**r for that. Any time we went past kids playing with a ball - any ball - we had to make sure he was on lead, cause otherwise we'd be paying out for yet another replacement ball!

Do you have any public tennis courts near you? I know it's a hard surface, but it might perk her interest up a bit & then she'll enjoy the grass as well.

Grass yes, hard surfaces know! Just think I'll have to wait for the fields to get harder in summer and try again, would love to see her do what all yours do! She can do it in the house but its like 4mx4m, not really enough room, paint work etc!!

We have a 10 inch and an 8 inch, the 8 inch was easier to carry around, and in theory easy for me to throw, which is bull lol. It's just as difficult to throw.
