Max looks like a piglet

Anyone else got a Staffy who has no hair underneath?
Max is lay in front of the fire and his bald underside is pink with the heat and he looks like a piglet!
I am hoping he grows hair eventually as it's freezing outside brrr

We have only had Max a few weeks and got him from the SSPCA where he'd been for a few months.
He has a coat and a jumper but I have never seen such a bald dog!!

I am going to try and get a 'naked bottom' shot... that really does look like a piglet!!

Tilly is very thin , and Tommy is like a gorilla in comparison , how it is I'm afraid , so long as you haven't got random bald patches and irritation etc its just how pup is

The reason I asked whether Max has always been bald is that I once had a Dobermann who wasn't originally bald underneath, but became so more and more. She also got tired very easily, and it turned out that she had an under-active thyroid and had to be on thyroid tablets for the rest of her life. But they did work and she got livelier again and the hair grew back quite quickly.

That's what crossed my mind when I read the post and saw the pic - it's reassuring to learn that some Staffs are indeed baldies naturally.

My boy is bald and pinky underneath. My girl is hairy

ahh he's gorgeous,sasha's a bit bald on her belly,she makes noise's like a piglet thou!

Rocky is almost bald under too, just a little very fine hair but not much at all.
