Yes, we have party food, mashed potatoes & pickles - it's a bit of a tradition. We also have a bottle of sparkling wine, and watch ghost stories (woman in black & m.r. James).

Our tradition is to get totally sloshed and wait til the kids are asleep and set everything up for Xmas Day.. We usually just have snacks on Xmas eve, and wash them down with plenty of drinkies Big Grin And ALWAYS suffer on Xmas day from hangovers and sleep deprivation Rolling Eyes

For Christmas Eve dinner I cook a large ham and have pickles with it, and cheese and crackers, nibbles really.

Also might have some gravadlax which is cured salmon, a Scandinavian tradition, my FIL is from Finland and we are carrying on this tradition.

We used to always get some fast food and sit in the living room and watch a film together, but since I have a gluten intolerance, everyone else has fast food and I have expensive restaurant food so I don't feel left out Laughing good times.
