What is wrong with some people they should not be allowed no where near a dog never mind owning one

These sorts of dogs shouldn’t be out in public

Horrible thing to happen and clearly irresponsible ownership. But the comments she made because of one dogs actions is over the top.

The way things are going, they'll be banning the staffy. I cant stand it. This is why i think it should come with a bit more responsabilty to own a dog. It's far to easy

Jess has not been riding for long and she was extremely shaken up by the attack, as was I." -> she really must have led a protected life. And what's this about putting the dog down? At most it's criminal damage which is a fine.
Also, isn't it interesting how these incidents, when they involve a staffy, always mention the breed? But when it's other breeds it rarely gets mentioned.

Bad owners tend to give the breed a bad name. It's a real shame

Another case of irresponsible ownership, but sadly it's the dog that gets the blame.

Yes this dog should have been on a lead but we as usual don't know the full story
I have had horses come behind me fast whilst out walking and at the time I luckily had my 2 very calm gsds but had no time to get them on leads I got an earful from the riders but it was them that was in the wrong

I used to ride and if came across a dog off lead would slow to a walk or stop as I had a better view

I feel for the riders as noone wants that to happen to their pets but I do feel the dog will suffer more

it doesn't help that the press bait the victims to give those sorts of responses. it's so sensationalist.
get the full story. its a vicious cycle. the reputation the dogs have only further encourage chav's and hoodies to own them, which leads to further bad press.
