Tesco pet insurance

Wow just had my new monthly policy in and they want £63.67 with £60 excess ,i no he's 12 years old ,just think it way to high !

Wow, that is high. Mind you, I don't know what the others would offer, Dempsey is the first dog I've had insured so I don't know what they charge for oldies.

is that a month or for the year? We have tesco pet insurance and its under £10 per month and thats covers nearly every thing

That's per month, but it's for a 12 year old. A lot of insurance companies won't even consider a dog over 8 years old.

that is expensive. Have you looked at comparison sites etc?

We got Rockys through go compare and got a meercat toy. He is insured with Argos at the moment but if they decide to hoick the price up next time we will go elsewhere.

That's the big problem , current company will normally requote and up the excess , conditions and premium but you either have to pay it or cancel and take a gamble as you would be quite lucky to find another company that would take you on. We had this with Dusty our old BC X but thankfully it was more on the excess and conditions (our contribution) then the Premium though it did rise to £30 , prob 5-6 years ago now

Wow wasn't expecting that it would rise to that much. Worse than car insurance
