STEVE - Question for someone in the know

I have a question for either a moderator or someone who knows because I don't want to get into trouble for posting something I shouldn't and times getting on I read a blog by a guy who's trying to save as many animals in a year and he's running a competion that involves staffys and I just want to know if I'm allowed to tell you guys about it. As I'm not sure if this is classed as promotion so don't want to dive straight in and tell people and then get in to trouble because I love this forum. I have wrote an email through the contacts part on here but I havent received a reply, I know you are all busy people so wasn't expecting a responce straigt away but like I said time is getting on and so want to know if I can tell you all about it. Any help given would be brilliant and if I am allowed to post about it I will in a seperate post. Thanks again for any help

I wouldn't think there's a problem unless it involves fb or another forum. But I've edited the title of your post so that Steve sees it & he can be the judge!

What sort of competition is it?

Oh thank you it doesn't involve fb or another forum, its a blog about a guy who is trying to save animals and he wants to raise the profile of staffys and how they arent mean dogs like the media makes people believe. Basically you send photos in of your little furbabies and make a donation even though its free to enter and any money raised goes to a dog charity, all money specifically goes to help rehome and help staffies. I just thought it was really good idea and as this is a staffy website what better place to tell people about it. But like I said early I don't want to break any rules as love this forum Oh and there are prizes for the winners, 1st prize being a professional photo taken of your dog

Looks good to me but up to steve as his forum. Sure he will post soon as he works hard on the site..

Cool, I hope he does say its ok because it seems like its a really good thing to do and helps all the homeless staffys but like I've said don't want to break any rules

OK, I read a blog called A Year To Help, it's written by a photographer called Martin Usborne. He is trying to save as many animals as he can in a year, staffys being one of them. He is currently running a competition to see who has the cutest staffy as he wants to show people that staffies aren't mean dangourous dogs like the media portrays them. He has a site set up that you can go to to upload pictures of your dogs, it's free to enter but they are asking for a minimum donation of £2 per picture. They are being judged by some tv vet and other animal celebs and the 1st prize is having a proffesional photo done of your dog by Martin Usborne 2nd prize is £45 worth of kong toys and 3rd prize is £25 worth of kong toys. All money raised goes to the dog charity All Dogs Matters, specifically to the staffy breed to help look after them and rehome them. Anyway I just thought because so many people on here obviously love their babies and are always putting pictures up on here why not do it for a good cause and help a few homeless staffies out as well The site is www.cuteststaffy.co.uk and the deadline to enter is 25th Dec so there we go thats what I have been going on about for the last few days

Yeh me too, it's actually a really good blog to read, he's in India at the moment you should have a look he's really funny and it brings things to light about whats going on in the world

Saw one like this but it was horses. These ladies rode them all over the show. I would love to do something like that. Always wanted to go traveling but never had the ball
