what veg do you give your dog

as above i know no onions or broccoli what else are they allowed to eat?

as long as it's not inappropriate foods then what ever you want in moderation.

Saying that i never give the boys fruit or veg or anything like that

ok so some people dont feed veg at all dry food maybe ?

is broccoli not good , didn't know that , our 2 get the normal sunday lunch scraps

My 2 get carrots,
Sweet potatoe
Butternut squash
Green beans
Cauliflour
Peas

Having 4 african grey parrots at home my Ellie gets quite a lot of fruit and veg given to her from the birds

Romeo gets to munch on carrots and tomatos. he loves bannanas and oranges as well

nice i thought i read on the monthly news letter that toms were not good for them. Maybe i was mistaken

Rocky loves his carrot stick snacks as we both have these throughout the day. He will also eat a small piece of raw red pepper, never known another dog to eat this.

Tomatoes can be toxic in large amounts.
My 2 get a small piece now n again.

Rule of thumb is moderation.

lots of different views and opinions here. Im going to get some wainwrights dry food and try here with that and veg etc mixed in to vary it a little. Ill also give her raw veg and fruit if she wants any and see how things go for now. Hopefully we can wean her off the wet food and the other dried food she eats.

Don't forget that dogs cannot digest raw vegetables unless they are pulped, and cooking removes about 90% of the goodness.

Many dogs like raw veg, but they get very little from them.

That's a really good way to feed them!

Mind you, loads of dogs like raw veg - I give Dempsey the odd lump of carrot or cabbage simply because he likes it.

a good way to do it, is blend/pulp it and fill ice cube trays with it, so you can pop a cube or 2 out and give them frozen or leave the cubes to defrost rather then defrosting the whole lot

Ledger loves carrots and lettuce but will only have mushrooms if they are cooked he also loves apples and pears and so I discovered tonight melon.

Broccoli is ok in small doses. It contains an irritant (can't remember - or spell - the exact name of it!), which in large amounts can cause gastric problems, but the odd bit once in a while is ok.

Bis will eat a raw carrot like a bone! She also has banana and blueberries stuffed into her kong

Made my oh a sunday dinner earlier i chopped some carrot up and gave them gary for sitting and giving paw to substiitute treats he seemed to like them. they cant be bad for them im sure. i chopped them because he doesnt chew much just wolfs stuff down.
once a week i treat him to mash and tuna other than that he has pedigree and buiscits

Whoops, gave Loki a bit of broccoli the other day. I generally don't give Loki any vegetables at all, just very rarely when there's a bit left over. If I want to add something to his dry food, I'll add some chicken, lamb, crusts from my bread, ham, sardines, etc. Just depends on what's left over; I do buy him a tin of sardines now and again though just to keep things interesting, but I don't do it often because I don't want him to get fussy. A few times he sees his meal is just dry food and looks up at me in disgust so I do it occasionally. Also give him lamb hearts for breakfast. Vegetables...eh, he can take them or leave them.

Thionk that's been cleared up now by Caryll , in moderation is ok

Our Skye loves her veggies - she especially likes the crunchy ones like carrots and peppers. She loves fruit too - bananas, apples, melon.

Bailey loves raw carrot and apples. we stuff his kong with them and he rolls it round by his nose untill all the chopped up bits come out
