just got back from the vets and what a trauma it was!the waiting was full of cats in the carriers, meowing away so that set sash off straight away Rolling Eyes ,in we went and sigh of relief tim the vet was there(who she saw last time)he examined her wounds and said they were healing well,i showed him the two either side of her tail a 3rd from the bottom that i was concerned about and he wanted a closer look,so we got her on the table but she was'nt having any of it,so he got hold of her and wrestled her down Surprised she was crying and making some horrible noises, guess it was hurting her and probably scared too,i nearly burst in to tears too.he was soo good and had such control of her under the circumstances, well after all that the verdict is hopefully it will heal, there's no infection but we got to keep an eye on it cos the last 3rd of her tail could die off Crying or Very sad and would need to be chopped off.he said 4-6 weeks we would know and in the mean time put talcum powder on it to dry it out.

It must be a relief having a very good vet, this can make a lot of difference to how you look at things. Dont be afraid to show your emotions whilst you are with the vet, they will have seen it all before and you will just a headache if you dont have a little cry.

Hope that Sasha makes a speedy recovery >Big Grin< >Big Grin<

Crying or Very sad How very sad, I've never heard of a dog having meningitis before, would that be hard to diagnose in a dog ???

Hope all goes well and she does not loose her tail. But as Janey said thats the worse, and Sash is fine in herself otherwise. I know how you feel, my Pixee just gets so stressed at the vets too.

we phoned the guy to let him know how sash got on and to warn him what could happen if her tail did'nt heal,to be fair he has been and seen her and paid up for treatment and last night told us that he will be muzzling him in the future as he just cant take the chance of it happening again.

Glad to hear there are still some responsible people out there who admit when their dog is in the wrong and take responsibility. Hope Sasha heals faster than 2 months!
