anybody know thre ducks?

are this normal ducks, duck like blue dog dodgy genes or crossbreeds?

the male as a black or dark brown head not the normal colour

maybe just a mallard with its winter plumage ?????
and steve blues are a dilute not a dodgy gene

They'll amost certainly have Mallard in them - those ducks will mate with anything in feathers!

Anyways, they are just young mallards. Thats how they look before they get mallardy. Cross-bred isvery rare in the wild.

Cross breeding is actually very common with mallards, & they are definitely not immature pure mallards.
