Today's walk.

Hi me and sky went for our normal seafront walk & beach run, when we came off the beach a guy asked is IT a pitbull, I replied nope SHE'S a staffy. He then walked away looking puzzled after i said i think you'll find pitbulls are banned.

You should have said she's a staffy then asked "and what, exactly, are you?"

Bloody rude ignorant man. Just answered my own question there.

gosh the number of lines you can come up after the event. Such as "and is you an idiot?" would be a start.
My friend has had it a few times when walking Betsy. A guy said he knew what dog it was teasing my friend with his new found knowledge! When she ignored him he shouted "You've got a pitbull". Idiot! Poor pitbull owners must get really sick of it too!

Some people are lunatics. When I took Loki to the park, some woman walking her little dog shouted "PITBULL, PITBULL!" in our general direction. No-one else was there, I don't know who she was trying to convince there are some weirdos out there.

I've taken our two out (with my 2 year old in tow) and had other parents run to grab the hands of their (usually older) children - pulling them away. This has happend god knows how many times in National Trust or English Heritage attractions - make of that what you will. On the other hand, I've taken the boys to watch my kids play in football matches on a Saturday morning and had other parents coming up to chat - often saying they've had or have friends who have Staffies. I call it the Marmite effect - you either love 'em or hate 'em, doesn't appear to be an in-between.
