Frankie's dad

Morning all !

Hope you are well? Just a quick introduction as a new member to this forum.

We are the owners of Frankie, a gorgeous staffie rescue.

We got Frankie nearly a year ago now from the RSPCA in Kent. We went in looking for an older Staffie but when we arrived they advised us that the dog we came to see was on first reserve for someone else. Frankie's reserve had come off that morning as the people who were going to take him had a change of heart (luckily for us!) Frank was approx 3 months old and they told us he was found tied to the RSPCA Gate one morning when he was about 8 weeks old.

What made him stand out is that all the other dogs in the rescue centre were barking and whining like mad, Frank however was quiet (to this day he will only bark if he's lying on his back chasing his tail and then looks surprised as to say "what happened there?" ) he came up to the kennel and just sat there with his back towards us close enough for a scratch and looked over his shoulder. Love at first sight!

We were a bit hesitant due to his age and the problems that could bring with it IE the constant supervision for house training etc. We needn't have worried! We saw him and walked with him on the Tuesday, had the house visit on Friday and picked him up on Saturday. Traveles perfectly in the car, was pretty much house trained (appart from 1 or 2 little accidents) and is an all round softy!

We had some friends being rather reluctant about meeting a staffie due to the negative press they have been getting recently but that soon changed when they met him.

Frankie is a gorgeous, sweet and loving boy, who loves nothing better than a cuddle and a good long walk. He's perfect with other dogs and we have just completed the Kennel Club Good Citizen Silver test with him.
