I am so sorry to hear about Olly.

I have had dogs who developed arthritis when they got older. The main and earliest symptom was that they were stiff and limpy when they first got up after a good rest, then improved with exercise. Then after their next good rest, the same again.

I hope that the medication is helpful to Olly - I'm afraid I can't remember what medication (if any) I had for my arthritic dogs, it was a long time ago.

Oh dear, 3 sounds awfully young for arthritis. Could it be related to the injury he received on his leg before you got him?

I must admit hes the only dog we have insured ,hes cost a fortune in vet bills this year he has grass allergies ,fell off a cliff ,got bleach in his eye off an idiot caretaker in my dads care home, not to mention all the vet visits in france for strange little rashes ,but we wouldnt swap him for anything cos he makes us laugh every day!
