Glucosamine & Chondroitin Empty Glucosamine & Chondroitin

Post by StuW Tue Oct 02 2012, 16:59

Had my dog (Meg) at the vet to get a few things checked and was told she's a bit sore in her hips and to give her glucosamine & chondroitin, but the stuff the vet mentioned said it was about £40.

Wondering if anyone buys it and where from. Looking to give Bailey some aswell, what mg should I get and how often should I give it?

Does she show any signs of discomfort? She's a little young to be 'sore in the hips'. What made him say it?

Thanks ill have a look at the links when I get home!

Caryll, meg is 8 coming up for 9 and she's been on steroids that may be reacting to her, she struggles to get up sometimes, the vet said its only slight just now but to try the glucosamine! The vet stretched her back legs out and said she's reluctant to stretch them any further which she should have been able to do!

I've just started to give these to Rocky, they are crunchy and he loves them, they contain Glucosamine & chondriotine, but I guess in small amounts:

vitamin c
fish body oil/vitamin e
yumove

Got these from Morrisons today, 3 for £5. There about 1.5-2cm long, how many should I give? Going to be giving both dogs them. Should I give them daily aswell, can it do any harm?

I'd personally give one a day to the dog suffering with sore hips and one 3 times a week for the other at most
