sprains strains and injuries

Hi im new to this site i have a 4year old staffy shes some how hurt her lg, foot ankle and she keep limping around on it its been like it for a week now and not sure what to do shes not in pain with it but she does hold her paw up when she stands im not sure how shes done it and not sue on what to do please if anyone an offer any advise it will be greatfully appreciated thanks kristy

If it is causing discomfort you may need to take her to the vet to get it checked just to be on the safe side, since it is ongoing.

If its been like for a week you need to get it looked at by a vet, you usually find if a dog strains his leg if you rest him up for a couple of days hes walking fine.

Hiya and welcome from me and Moo, as already said if it has been a week I would get a vet to check it. Have you looked at her pads to make sure something isn't lodged?

Usually if they get a sprain as Dave said, after a couple of days rest there back to normal, so a week is a long time.

hi al,l just thought id give you an update that my girl storm with her injury to her back leg foot etc is now fine and shes ok playing with the new puppy and settling him in they fantastic dogs the pair of them thank you for all your advice it was taken greatly on board x
