Wish me luck!

By nature of my somewhat varied job this week I am taking 15 year 11's to do a Social Action Project. Thanks to some funding this will be doing up a spare kennnel block, cutting grass, helping with cleaning and feeding and anything else we can think of at the rescue centre Lola came from. Two kids have already looked at the website and told their parents which dogs will be coming home with them and a member of my staff has already earmarked the maddest looking beast there! It' going to be funny, sad and just a bit of mayhem - not to mention resisting another stafford in this house!

What a great thing to be involved with - the kids (well, to me they're kids) will really benefit from it.

Nearly the last day and so far 8 freshly painted kennels, numerous clean bowls and blankets, sanded picnic table for visitors to sit at and some very tired dogs who will miss their daily walk with very enthusastic teenagers! That's what I call a good week at work - wish there more like this!
