what dog/dogs you got or had

Title pretty says it all but interested in what you've got or had that got you to staffies or crosses.
I've currently got a staffy cross american bulldog called Kasper, a JRT called Jess, and a cat called Willow.
Previously had a bull-mastiff called Khan who passed at 9 and a bit from systemic infection (took a piece of me with him).
Kasper has just encroached on his terrible 2's it seems, as everything gets in his mouth and gets chewed.
He's proving to be a handful of a baby already but wouldn't change a thing.

I have Moo, a rescue and before her I had Scrumpy, she was (still should be!) my first dog and she is why I adore Staffs now

My hubby and I currently have Rocky who is now our best friend and came to us from Woodgreen Animal Charity.

Before that I had a GSD/Lab cross called Judy who my Dad found as a stray when I was 14. Judy had her spleen removed when she was 8 years old and sadly Dad couldn't save her. She was with us for another 18 months after.

There was also a cross of some sort in my family when I was very little and can only just remember.

After having Rocky I cannot imagine having any another breed of dog.

I have Harvey who's a staff and my first dog then got Chance an american bulldog

We have got 6 Staffies 3 boys ,3 girls.
Before we had a small crossbreed and before that we had a large crossbreed

I have cairo and a black lab X called lexx always had dogs in the family as long as i can remember.Before lexx there was a german shepard called bonzo and a greyhound X called ben .And there were a few others before i was born.

I started off with Borders Collie bitches Zena & Peri, then had a BSD (Tervueren) bitch called Ruby & then a BSD (tervueren) dog called Ned. Then a GSD x Collie dog called Ouzo, GSD dog & bitch called Major & Teddie, then a Staff dog called Bandit & now an EBT called Dempsey.

Grew up with cats and a springer spaniel, then I met a friends staff and I just had to have one, so I rescued one who I had for 10 years, when he died I got another, then another so iv 2 now, ill always have a staffi in my life and will always rescue, they're such a special breed

2staffs now, previosusly a BC x

Had 2 black labs, a collie lab x, a spaniel lab cross, a red setter retriever cross, 2 poodles and now lexi my staff lol

My first dog was a collie x, was really a family pet. I then owned a Jack Russell bitch called Lady who was the first dog I was responsible for. I then rescued an English Bull Terrier all white he was and called Jack, and was also the first dog that had to be PTS. He got glaucoma and went blind when he was 10 but I had him for another 20 months before the vet and my wife convinced me I was only keeping him for me. I thought he would be my last dog as it hurt me badly having him PTS. I now have my SBT Blu, who came from my brother in law after they asked me if I would take him when they fell pregnant with their first child. It took a lot of talking from my wife before I decided to take him on.
I'm now glad I did, and love him to bits, and he has a lot of my Jacks characteristics, while still being his own man. He may be my last dog as I'm now 46 and I will be getting on a bit if he lives to be an old man.

I'm 55 & still thinking about what breed of dog I'll get in the future! I can't live without a dog in my life!

None as a child but made sure that I did after I was married - all rescues. The first was a labrador cross - we think it was chow as he had a blue spotted tongue. My daughter used to pick him up and tell him all her woes and when he became too big to pick up she used to sit with him under the stairs where he slept. Had him for 12 years and it broke her heart when he went. Said I wouldn't have another and then the vet nurse next door said 2 had been brought into the surgery and they would have to be pts so we got Jason and Roy. I have written about Roy on this site before, all brown collie cross - we think he was a boy but it fluctuated depending on what mood he was in - had him 13 years. Jason was black and looked like every old man's dog on the end of a peice of string and was simply divine - we adored him. He died aged 18 years in my arms on 5th November 2007 with rockets going off outside. He was very special. I swore I wouldn't have another but when you have had dogs before there is always a little space that needs filling - and Lily filled it 3 months ago!!

I will only count the dogs I've had as an adult so an English Bulldog and Suki.

Since the age of 4 years old i've been around Staffords.
I now have 5 of my own

Have a staff and a mongrel just now, Meg is a rescue, she was only in the rescue centre 45 minutes before we reserved her at 10weeks old! Before that there was Sam aswell, another mongrel but we think he was some kind of rottie X, he may have been crossed with a kangaroo as he could nearly touch the ceiling when he jumped off the couch

I have always had dogs growing up - A collie cross, lab cross X 2 and a german shepherd.
Since living with my partner we had a Chihuahua Cross Jack russell we had her for 5 months but had to return her to her breeder when our son started getting to rough with her she was so tiny i was scared he would hurt her. but we are still very much in contact with him so i know shes safe and happy
We dont have a dog on the scene at the mo for that reason but i have been in contact with a rescue that fosters their animals out rather than putting them in kennels, also our childrens ages wont be a problem as they are always getting staffies in that have been happy living with young children bring on next year i cant wait!! as soon as we move im gonna be on their site looking for our perfect staffy hehe.

Tanya - cross, named after Tanya Roberts, thought she was nice LOL
Heidi - Doberman, black and tan, rescued. Wife picked that one
Cara - whippet, rescued. Irish for friend.
Jodi - Doberman, choclate brown, wife picked that name.
Cookie - Staffi, rescued. Came with that name.

have had 2 labs before but now got a staff

Growing up My mum had Cairn terriers and my Dad staffords which his side of the family has owned we worked out the other day for nearly 80yrs
I have two girls now had 6 of my own before that and we currently through extended family cousins aunts uncles brothers etc own over 30 staffies lol can you imagine if we have a party ><

I have owned staffies and a chinese crested. When I was younger my mum always had german shepherds, and my nan had german shepherds, jack russells, rotties, spaniels, wolfhounds so I have had alot to do with various breeds. I always enjoyed going training with my nan too, and loved training our dogs at home. I still do

A fox terrier and 2 poodles as a child. Then 3 labradors, 2 siamese and a persian. My own dogs, started with a rescue lurcher, Syd - best dog that ever lived, had to have him pts when he developed bone cancer. A rescue greyhound, Don, also gone now. Currently 2 rescue lurchers, Lily and Jazz. And Shay & Rudi, my staffi puppies. Next will be a rescue staff but the OH says 5 dogs are too many

We have Vinny the Staff and Bella the Boxer

Had a Boxer whilst living at home OH family always had Rotties

When I was born (many years ago) mum had a JRT then bulldog after them was a boxer & a pitbull (b4 the ban) and a sbt X b/collie.

I left home at 15 went to bellmead collage (battersea great windsor) there I fostered dogs untill rehomed I had 4 SBT's, doberman, Lab & sbt, & 2 EBT X SBT's.

Then I finished collage at 17, I worked in more kennels and lived on my own and wanted "my own" dogs I had chuggy sbt X lab & Bullet my rotti (loved him so much had to be PTS after a work experience mixed kennels up and let bullet out his kennel, he got into the cat pen and killed 4 customers cats and then a bearded collie puppy that was a crufts dog)
after chuggy past away of age I got old girly Shane a BSD X GSD all rescues

Then I rescued/bought Mazda, she was being treated like garbage by the breeder so I took her.
about 7yrs ago I also had Zeus a doberman bitch that was going to be PTS for aggression I gave her a chance but she was FAR to dangerous to be near children or men.

and now Kodi whos my 5mth sbt and Mazdas still plodding along also mums dogs half the time are here

(I also had Zero some members may remember who turned nasty bit me and turned on my toddler and now lives with a friend of mine and doing well)

I'll always have dogs with either sbt, gsd, rotti or dobey in there

When I was little we had an ex police dog gsd called nelson
Adopted a golden retriever at her age of 11 ish called judy we had her for 7 years
Meet my oh who had a staff called Rosie and a toy poodle called sinbad I had a collie x
When my daughter was 1 we took on a gsd pup but lost the poodle
After my son was 2 we lost Rosie and were tempted by another gsd pup ( pure black) called Ben
We then lost the collie x at the age of 11
Our gsds had 3 litters of pups all going to great homes
We finally lost jade at the ripe old age of 12 and addopted one of their grandsons called clooney
Unfortunately 4 months later we lost Ben (aged 11)and 9 months after we lost clooney due to bloat only aged 7
I couldn't bare having another gsd and was looking at getting a smaller dog looked at different breeds but my oh was set on having another staffy
I'm so glad we got our Skye and then buster ( although he is needing a lot of work ) but they are both my baby's
