Any way to keep my pup active and awake?

Hello again,

Mars likes to play, but not for long. After 20 mins or so he stops and just goes to sleep for 40 mins to an hour, is this normal or is there anyway to keep him engaged for longer? He seems to stop caring after a while

Puppies that young sleep....a LOT

When they are with the litter mates they all will sleep together, but he isn't so just let him sleep when he wants - he isn't just being lazy or bored.

Of course it's normal! This is a very young pup - they sleep a lot.

Alright thanks, I knew he'd sleep a lot as he's a pup (obviously its like the same as baby! ), but I was just worried he was sleeping a little toooo much

They need a lot of sleep, like babies do. They get more playful when they get older. I was told young puppies sleep 18-22 hours a day. Apparently mine is an exception lol, but if that's the normal amount of sleep for a puppy, I'd say yours is very normal.

Completly normal and nothing to worry about

Tommy sleeps all through the night from about 21.00 until 05.30-06.00 with the exception of a couple of quick toilet breaks, then probably 50/50 through the day depending on what everybody is doing and he is almost 12 weeks so the younger they are the more they sleep
