Valerie back from the dead

Well i forgot to post this when i got home from england. But Valerie the chicken is actually alive! it was one of the new chickens that died (we think she fell off the perch and broke her neck somehow?!) and dad didnt really know he just calls them all valerie lol

but yes, valerie the competition winning chook is still alive and kicking.

I was very happy. Shes a funny one, as soon as you go near her she crouches down and when you stroke her she puts her bum up and down like a cat while cooing at you. Funny chicken.

A little bit of topic but I saw some live chickens for sale in Jolleys store yesterday

I didn't think pet superstores were allowed to sell birds anymore, infact im sure of it cause i asked my own jolleys about budgies.

They were definately there and other little birds too. It's so cruel to see them in those small cages I would have let them out if I could open the doors.

I would email headquarters actually just to be sure, but i really dont think they should be selling birds. is bird flu still actually around though? lol
