Hi All,

I'm the owner of Fred (he suited an old man name as he looked like an old man as a puppy) along with my partner Karl. We got Fred about 2 years ago from a breader in Bradford after just going to look and fell instantly in love! Karl is in the forces - so Fred is my companion while he is away on active duty.

I was one of those anti-staffy people before meeting Karl. He's grown up with them, where as I've been a Jack Russell family. Now I take it apon myself to try and educate people about staff's - their loyalty, love, devotion and ability to be a great familily pet!

At present Fred is sat like a cat on the back of one of the sofa's in the sun watching the world go by. He's a character and I wouldn't change him for the world. He's also gapeshot, so often smiles at you after getting his lip stuck in his teeth Smile

I have found the forum a great place already. I've been training Fred since we got him and he's a lovely dog - but just a bit overly. I can familiarise with the pulling to other dogs and people, he's just desperate to say hello to everyone and everything! It can be a little embarrassing as sometimes he pulls me off my feet, but I'm trying to be consistant. I've tried the treat trick, and the sit thing and he gets this and can do it well, but still won't just walk past another dog unless I use my gruff voice. Any other tips and suggestions are welcome!
