eeeeck Bella is coming home on FRIDAY!!!

Just a quick post to try and let out out some of the excitement thats pent up!! Only 3 more sleeps before our little girl is coming home! I feel as apprehensive as I did before the births of my children LOL Let the fun begin!! x

I hope so! Any advice would be welcome. Crate, bed, toys, bowls etc all here. Garden made safe training treats all ready! Food will be bought on Friday, we've decided to try Arden Grange. But anything I may have forgotten?x

Have you got a big teddy bear? When i brought lexi home i gave her my huge teddy bear and she was so attatched to it at the start and she would sleep under it and snuggle it. When she got older she ripped it to shreds

We have a few big teddy bears actually. Perhaps we will give her one and see if she likes it

Don't forget to stick with whatever the breeder's feeding for a few days & then change over gradually.

Yep Caryll I expect they will give us what they have been feeding her in a pack so we can wean her off it and on to the Arden. x

Great idea! We gave the breeder a comfort toy to get the scent of the mothers and siblings too. A little comfort for those first few nights

Not looking forward to it at all how long can we expect her to be upset?

Varies with the dog. One or two nights are normally the minimum. It also depends on how you deal with the whinning and crying. The first night we had Suki she howled like she was being abused. Once I put a blanket over the crate she settled after about 10 minutes. The next night got a little better and by the 3rd night she was fine.

We brought her in to sleep with us after a week or so. She was 16-18 weeks or so when we got her and she had better than average bladder control for a pup

congratulations on your new puppy. We have had Caley for 4 weeks now and it certainly has been eventful. She slept brilliantly from the beginning, I would definitely recommend a blanket over the crate and a teddy bear, Caley loves her and sleeps on it all the time.

Thank you, thats great advice about the blanket, we have loads of old sheets we could use to cover her crate. Caley is a stunner, absolutely beautiful

We got Delilah a small hot water bottle that she would snuggle down with, worked for us!!

Haha we may as well...going to turn up sooooo early so we have the whole day together....OH has the day off see. There will be plenty of pics going up of all of us together

Nobody on here will look down on her (or actually I suppose everyone will because she is so little ) From your other pics on your last post she looks gorgeous, don't worry about the KC papers , but I hope you stick with the forum and see why people (including myself now) think it's so important if you are going to buy a pup from a breeder, but that is the end of that. I got Tilly without papers at just under 8 weeks , no injections, but the breeder had been worming her and was looking after her in a clean environment which is important. I can honestly say in my eyes Tilly is no different to Tommy who has all his papers and they hopefully will both be good long lasting friends. You enjoy your puppy she is beautiful and we demand daily pictures.
