What breed would you say these were. Really need some expert opinion here.
From shoulder to toe she's 24inches and weight about 35lb last time her owner checked anyway.
What breed? Founddog5

So why do you need to know?? They all develop differently, and any number of dogs can look like the pics. Mine certainly does.

After she emailed me the photographs of her the owner was very weird about telling me the breed, she asked all these questions about who i worked for or if i worked for anyone in particular she seemed kinda scared to tell me, she has a ten foot wall surrounding her garden, the dog is only aloud out in the garden not aloud on walks. i know alot of Staffy owners are scared of losing their dogs but she has another huge staff b**ch which she shows off like crazy. I know the people around my area if they were convinced they had a pure staffy they'll be bosting about it. Anyways she's annoyed with me now but i thought i had the right to know cause the b**ch the pics is my dogs mother and grandmother.

I asked the one i got Taz off for pictures so she contact the actual breeder and she emailed me the pictures and then i asked for info she was only to pleased to answer till i asked more questions about her breed. I'm just concerned for my dogs especially Blondy i can't find similar pictures of her as staff only pit the pictures i'v seen her colour they could be twins.

She looks like a staff to me, and looks a lot less than 24" to the shoulder!

Stop worrying about what your dogs are - they're much loved pets & look nothing like pit bulls.

Looking at them closely in every single way i know their not Pits but my town is full of rats and since walking Blondy i'v been asked is she a pit twice and i'v heard off the gridvine people are saying i got pits asking if i'm breeding them etc i know the truth but trying to explain it to them is like is like trying to get an ape to say the alphabet and its only going to take one person to tell the wrong person and the bent coppers around here. I'v got no way to prove other wise you guys have either got papers or shelter info to go by or your dog looks a perfect image of a staff but i literally got my Taz from some dirty house where he was kept in the bathroom with his brother.
Any idea on how i can prove it would be great the only thing i got in mind is DNA but thats pretty useless i heard.

24 inches? Def. doesnt look that tall.

Looks like a staffy X to me, or just your average non KC standard staff.

She would fit type, but as long as she is well trained and has good manners in public the majority of people will walk past without even noticing. Its when you've got a dog thats out of control people will pay attention.

Erm its a staff. Still can't believe people think they look like american pitbulls. Staffys face is allot cutier and softer looking like yours and also the shape of the head is different and the ears are different

Its wierd how staffies can differ, but they all staffies!! I have 3, and my red boy Kane has papers etc, once i had taken him with me to the shop and while i was outside with him, 2 policemen came to the shop, one a young un, and one about my age. The young un asked me if he was a pit, and that he wud "take him away now" if he was, to which i sed over my dead body u will!! The older cop then pulled him away and sed to him, dont u know a staff when u see one? and apologised to me!!! Haylo has no docs, but no one has asked wot she is, they know! Your dogs are great, no worries!! xx

most people wouldnt know a pit if it came and bit them in the backside. theres a lot of people out there that think they know all about them and suddenly everyone is an expert.

She's defo not pit, but she does fit "type" because of her size, but we all know how wrong the DDA is.

I'm not disagreeing! I've been around many a pit living in South Africa so i do know what they look like. She is Clearly not an APBT, but have you seen DEFRAs guide to the police on what a "pitbull type" is for the dangerous dog act?

This is it
http://www.defra.gov.uk/wildlife-pets/pets/cruelty/documents/dogs-guide-enforcers.pdf

The majority of leggy staffs fit it and thats the problem!!

So many family STAFFS and STAFF Xs have been taken away from their families just because they fit this ridiculous "type".

I think thats the problem its their height Taz is just over 20" and i tell them their mums a staff and father a jackrussell they look at me like im an idiot saying you can't get jackrusells that tall nor a staff only a APBT, I'v even got people avoiding Taz now but they never used to, till all the rumours went around mainly when Blondy came around. Aparently its her colour, long toes/feet are large, eyes are round, her ears face forward, and her general stance, but they say she is too short from head to tail to a pure APBT so she must get that from the jackrussell. It backyard breeders who have told me this so i don't take much notice but they open their mouth and regular people avoid my dogs.

Do you know for definite that the father is JR? I mean, have you seen the sire himself?

I don't doubt that the sister is different, but that doesn't prove parentage! I just can't see how a JR can produce pups that are so much bigger than both parents! Smaller, yes, but not bigger!

The sire's name is Topper he's a JR thats why i think the long legs came from the mum even if she isn't 24" she is much taller than the staffs i have seen. Its just the behaviour of her owner which leads me to think she knows something isn't right, I know she might just be worried like most Staffy owners are but she show off her other staffy like crazy. The other one doesn't leave the garden or home.

Sorry but I dont see all the fuss..
I think if Taz is a good dog, and you seem to have the experience to make sure she is... then I wouldnt worry about what others think?.. why would you listen to other people when you have had dogs all your life??( i think i read that somewhere)..
I would just love her and make sure she is well behavied... it is the chance you take when you get a X breed.. you really never know their full history.

My sister inlaw rescued a GS x Husky! BS.. it has grey hound in their somewhere as its tail is a whip and he is small at the hips.
I think you worry to much about other people Miss R.... just enjoy Taz for who she is

dont worry about your dogs they are defo not pits, that standard for pit bull types is utter crap if that standard was true then a lot of people who have staffs would be having there dogs taken off them my macks fits the bill perfect and he is anything but pit, look at us humans we are all the same species yet we come in all shapes and sizes,i think if the person who you got her off is being shady about what type is she is she just wants to be associated with having pits to try and look good or something, dont worry about it,and the people who are telling you she is pit havnt got a clue what they are talking about.

This is a worry but the truth is this is why the staffy types and pit types exist the bottom line is if your dog is far away from the breed standard then they are mongrel and have some influx of a pedigree dog in them. The size and weight is correct of a pit but the features arnt in the one in the photo. I would not worry about being stopped by anyone about your dog as you no were your dog came from and you no about its parentage try to get your vet to put on your dogs documents what the dog is mixed with it would help if you were ever put in the situation of dda

The thing is, your dogs don't look anything like pitbulls, so what their parentage is doesn't really come into it!

Keep your dogs out of trouble & keep your nose clean & you won't have a problem. By keeping on at the breeder of your dogs you will be antagonising her & that can only cause trouble.

I'd stay well away from her & just enjoy your dogs for what they are - staffy crosses, and gorgeous ones at that!

I think those pics look like a staff crossed with a lurcher or somesuch. Why don't you want to DNA test? I had my Gizmo DNA tested and would thoroughly recommend if even if only from a health perspective.

It cost £69 and i thought it was really good. We had it done here www.whatbreedismydog.com.
It was very insightful and i never would have guessed what Gizmo had come from but when we saw it made complete sense.
Saying that, i had it done as Gizzy looks like the APBT on the wikipedia website and i was worried. I have since found out it's a waste of time if you want to prove they aren't a pitbull as that is a type not a breed.
Gizmo was predominately bull terrier and italian greyhound followed by golden retriever, akita and scottish terrier.
Explains why he is mental lol.
