they think he may have had a seizuer and drown as he was left with brain damage after his beating

He was filmed being beaten by the police in LA while already in handcuffs. The officers were charged with a crime for their actions but were found not guilty in court which led to the riots in LA in 1991. He made a plea on TV to get the riots to stop and is famous for his "can't we all just get along" quote.
