MUST TRY!!

As Shimmer demolised her new toy already we decided to take the squeek part out to ensure she doesnt choke We kept the squeek and just out of curiousity we blew into it, which immediately got Shimmers attention. Becoming even more curious we decided take her out again. We took it in turns to walk away each time taking the squeek with us. And when we wanted to call her back we called 'Shimmer here' but as she was already with one of us she wouldnt come. So then we called her again and added a blow to the 'squeek' she came across immediately. So we went on and every time she came without fail. So were now thinking the 'squeek' is the new whistle. Not sure why its so effective maybe because she associates it with play as it came from a play toy.

Fantastic, well whatever works is right I guess. Seems that she come back OK to it so why not use it.

It was brilliant she just kept coming to it, she even walked straight past both my cats!! just love her 2 bits. Such an angel!!

We've done this as well. Not sure why it works but glad it does

Bluebell is 2 and a half and always goes crazy if she hears a squeek from a toy. I don't know what it is but she even cries out in the same pitch whenever she hears one. I wonder if it hurts her ears?

Great idea. Allot of dogs loves the noise. Might be the new recall aid.

Lol really do try. It was amazing, bear in mind we live on a farm and are surrounded by fields. We took her out into one of the fields and let her off the lead, she loved it and came back every time we called her using 'Shimmer here' and then a squeek. Hope it works for you too.

Kong (the brand) sell packs of squeekers seperately.

Do you know where I can buy them as apparently they have stopped selling them :/

Those squeeks drive my dogs crazy! Good idea though to use it to get her attention, that noise just sends dogs crackers for some reason!
