Saxon and the Small Dog

Guess What? Saxon is the best dog I know! 
Today he played with a 5 month old Rat Terrier puppy that probably weighs less than my small cat. He was so gentle with her it was adorable!
First he tried his usual method of play:
But then he realized that kind of play made her nervous, so he plopped on his back:
I think this is a funny series of pictures:
He even gently played tug with her:
When she left, he was pretty bummed:
In other news, I bought some sunglasses for the both of us at the Dollar Tree, and we look super cool together:
We went to the park so I could take some pictures before our shift:
It was tough to get a picture of the two of us, though:
But then at work, OH visited us on my lunch break and took pictures of us in our cool sunglasses!
(and then I realized I was wearing my apron still, oops!)

Fantastic series of pics. Great to see Saxon getting along so well with the little one. It's always nice when they can tailor their level of play to the size of the dog and Saxon did look really sad when she left.

Great photos! I loved the ones where it looks like the tiny puppy is killing Saxon. And the one where the water is being sucked into his mouth!
