Is this a problem

I'm hope to show my staffy Penny when she's older only 18 weeks old now . She comes form cumhil line here in Ireland which has done very well in Ireland and abroad. My worry is the she is red with a white chest. My worry is she has a small amount of black on her tail. Will this go against her in the show ring. The standard doesn't really say anything about this. Doesnt matter that much she's already a champion in my eyes

No, I would say that she has smut markings - black overlaying hairs on certain aprts of her fur. They will probably fade a little as she gets older. Does she have a darker mask as well?

A lot of reds have these darker hairs.

Sounds alot like Suki but she doesn't have any dark spots

I'd say it's just darker pigment due to the smut effect. Notice that she has a darker area around her nose/mouth & ears? That's all common with red smuts.

Happens in other breeds as well - my boy is a red smut & he also has a darker spot on his tail!

She has i bit of black around mouth and nose after looking her sire up any she's very like him.

Hopefully she already a bit of a show off plus she's full of herself LOL

She is lovely.

She's the exact same colour as my Blondy.
